Scout Weeks!

Good morning all JOYSTICKERS, www.joystickclub.co.uk

At last it's rained and feels more like summer!!

We've started on the Seneca!

Steve E, DO and JB came around and we made a wooden mounting frame after levering the cockpit off the trailer floor. We intend putting MGB rubber engine mounts under all six pickup points to give it some anti vibration resilience ! Needs it!

We've also been busy this week with a group of Beavers from Littlewick Green on Monday and Cubs from Burnham last night visiting the Aero Club. The Tomahawk and our new Frisbees were a great hit, no visible damage to anyone although they were getting frantic towards the end of the evening.

Thanks to all especially Alan Hoskins and Pete Cuniff, and Rob who was pulled off his bar stool to "volunteer".

A flying visit to Bruntingthorpe has been arranged this weekend by Stuart Scott with the likelihood of Avon engines being fired up. Perhaps another visit later in the year?

Next weekend 19/20/21 the 13th Roxeth Scout troop will be with us camping in WLAC's Orchard.

Alan H will again be briefing them and Graham Perry introducing them to the mysteries of aviation..."why does that happen" and "how it's made".

On Saturday weather permitting, we'll be taking them flying with at least 2 Europa's and an RV6A while Steve Midson will be showing the whole group how to make his wonderful rubber powered aircraft, and fly them in one of the hangars...magic!

At the end of the weekend they should all achieve their "Air Activities" badge.

Our team are off to Evendons school May25th for their "STEMFEST", DO is running that ..... Davidoswald47@gmail.com

We're joining the Army flyers on Monday May 29th at Middle Wallop with all our kit, anyone else like to enjoy the museum and airfield visit?

June 4th I'm taking some pedal planes to Shuttleworth, Old Warden for their Navy Day display to help others from the YES youth group encourage youngsters. Anyone want the jump seat?

This is another way to use an old cockpit!
