Somewhere on the Home Front

Morning JOYSTICKERS!

We're fighting fit at Hever Castle this weekend, surrounded with WW2 characters and equipment, even Mr Churchill paused to speak on his tour of inspection!

But we're keeping our end up with a full line up of JSC Kit.

Right in the thick of things ...Martyn Looker, Ian MacKinnon, Elaine C, David Oswald with wife Mary...all had a great first day.

All the Gatwick inbounds overhead, a Mk 9 Spit fly past ,RAF ops tent, plastic Hurri , superb model boats and lots of interested youngsters ...before the heavens opened in the afternoon. All dried out in time for the long march (took the car) to Henry V111's inn to quaff an ale

Looking forward to a better day today, but not the M25 teatime!

The Hever staff really looked after us and looked brilliant in their RAF uniforms, didn't realise the service had so many female crew, must have been detached from the ATA?

Next weekend we'll be at the "Flywheel" event at Bicester, call in. If you're there.

Will be posting joining instructions for volunteers in next email.

Off to the canteen before the next air raid siren goes off

Toodle loo

M
