Ian's Walk

Hello JOYSTICKERS, www.joystickclub.co.uk Another great walk led by IAN SWANKIE yesterday, starting at a crowded Pimlico Village cafe towards Lambeth bridge and on to the Mexican eatery Wahaca, near Waterloo underground station. 21 of us took part and were led past many interesting old sites and places like the Tate Gallery, MI5, Lambeth Palace and looking across the Thames at Palace of Westminster with its red and green painted bridges on either side! Ian was as informative as ever , taking us to places so easily passed by without the knowledge that an official London a City tour guide has. Many thanks Ian, and perhaps when Crossrail is open we can do another visit in 2019! Meanwhile Alan Hoskins is taking over the "Tour Guides hat " on August 3rd with a tour around Eton starting from the Windsor Leisure Centre car park at 1000. Today a JSC squad are visiting the Lords Cricket Ground to watch an Inter Services game led by Peter Meade and Richard Brown with a tour of the MCC's "sanctuary" Saturday sees us at Naphill with our kit joining in with the NAPFEST there. In the evening our HOGROAST at the club, indoors by the look of the weather, 1830 on for a good plate of Pork and lots of crackling while being entertained by our own David Coe and Keith Old. Plenty of places available only £15 on the night. The next week starts with the White Waltham School Fete, Martyn Looker and myself will show them our Pedal Planes and the Tomahawk on Sunday from 1230, if anyone else wants to pop in to lend a hand? All our events, quite a few coming up our on our Website run very ably by Mike Ashfield Cheers M
